So a quick update on whats going on in our neck of the woods... Rusten is still working 4 days a week, but at least he gets 40 hours! We're blessed and grateful that he is still able to work, when it seems there are so many layoffs all around us. He doesn't seem to think he will, being the only one in his department. But I still worry, that probably won't ever stop! He has also been put in to help me with cub scouts. At least now he can't complain I do to much and not having my assistant help me. It is nice having him go with me every week, not to worry if a priesthood leader will be there. Tanner is growing and learning way to fast. He is still going to school 2 days a week. In January, I moved him up to the older class (he was getting bored in the other one). I was really worried that he was to young, since he's almost 4 and the other kids are 5. But he has really adjusted and learning alot from them. I can't believe he'll be 4 in a couple weeks! He is giving his first Primary talk on Sunday. I don't know rather to cry wanting him to stay little or be excited that he's turning into such a wonderful/good boy. These last couple months he has really stepped up to help me with cleaning (toys) and helping/showing Porter what to do. He keeps us laughing all day, you'll never know what he's gonna say! Porter is our little monkey. He loves to climb up on everything, no fear of heights and then jump on to whats closest to him. He's always snacking on something constantly! He also doesn't want to talk. He only says a few words and other than that he screech's (like a monkey). And if I don't get what he wants, then he'll do it himself. He reminds me of George the curious monkey. Porter wants to learn about everything, figures it out and yet he can't talk but everyone understands what he wants or doing. He also looks at you with those big brown eyes and you just wanna kiss those chunky checks! I'm just taking one day at a time! Last year I was always so worried about having the house clean, laundry done and the boys behaving like little men. So by the time Rusten got home from work, I had a short fuse and a bad attitude. Which then everyone would be in a bad mood, just so I could have a perfect house. So this year I don't worry if the laundry is piling up in the corner or a sink of dishes. If the boys want to color, we color! We have quite time every afternoon and watch a movie together. I realized that the boys won't remember if the house didn't get cleaned that day, but they will remember what we did together! So if you come over and see that the house is only straightened up (not spotless) and Porter is running around in only underwear and both boys have messy faces. We are having a good/happy day!!

That is a good attitude to have! It is fun catching up on your family!
I love your attitude! Sounds like you guys are having fun. Your boys are so handsome. We will have to get together sometime!
Thanks for the post, I needed to read that today. My house is a mess, and didn't get much done. The important things were taking care of though! My car battery died, and I was able to spend quality time at home today with the boy!
